Fun Healthy Snacks For Kids

You do not think there is a single man that can say that he doesn’t like snacks or he doesn’t eat them . If an adult can’t say that , what can you say about kids ?! They always want something between the meals and statistics points out that fourth of the calories that a kid eats per day comes from the snacks . So for parents it is hard to control what snacks eat their kids and especially how healthy are they .



Because they are so full of energy all day long , you can come up with some simple snack recipes which are easy to prepare with their help . You can  propose some healthy snacks recipes which are also fun for kids . A good solution  can be fruits . For example , you can prepare artic oranges because it is fun to prepare and kids will love it because it can successfully replace ice cream . The ingredients are : 4 oranges , 4 cups of orange juice and 4 cherries .  You have to cut the tops of the oranges in a zigzag pattern , hollow the inside and then mix it in a blender with the juice . Next you set the rinds in a muffin tin and after fill with the mixture . Put a cherry in every orange ; now you’re almost ready .All you have to do is to put them to freeze for 2 to 3 hours  and the kids will serve a healthy tasty ice cream.

You can also play games during preparing and eating the snacks .  For example , you take some slices of toast bread , some ham or even some cheese . Make a couple of sandwiches , then cut them into different pieces of all kind of shapes and sizes . After that mix the pieces and try to solve the resulted “puzzle” before starting to eat it .

Another fun and creative way to prepare snacks can be toast toppers . You can toast some slices of bread , then put some butter or soft cheese on top of them . You can give the kids a great variety  of toppings such as herbs , seeds , nuts , small pieces of tomatoes or other vegetables . Then he can draw different pictures on the bread so he will find it funny to prepare snacks and after eat them .

It can not be so tough to convince our children to eat something healthy between snacks ; it depends very much on the way you can involve them in preparing them . In this way you get to spend some quality time with them which it proves to be fun , creative and of course it has rewards : fun healthy snacks for kids . Parents should consider this kind of activities because snacks proved to be one important part of their children diet and this indirect becomes part of their health and their life .
