Healthy Heart

The key to having a long healthy life and also a healthy heart is in your hands. Only by controlling your stress levels, by having a well-balanced schedule and most important of all a well-balanced diet, you will manage to consider yourself a healthy person.

First of all, it is very important to have a schedule in which you include at least 8 hours of sleep per night. Not sleeping well not only will affect your mood but most important it will damage your health and your heart. You should also pay attention to the way you organize your time and how much you work in comparison to how much you spend your time resting. It is recommended to also take afternoon naps if you’re feeling extremely tired or sick in someway. Do not try to do overtime if you are not well rested because this most definitely will lead to an increase in your stress levels, anxiety and fatigue.

Secondly, you must also understand that another important aspect regarding the health of your heart is your diet.  You should not, under any circumstances, smoke, drink or eat constantly foods rich in fat, if you have any heart condition. In the case of smokers and drinkers, the risk for a cardiovascular accident increases substantially. It is scientifically proven that smoking and drinking cause more than 20% of the heart diseases. Most have the tendency to ignore the messages wrote on the cigarettes packs or the short informative messages shown on television between commercials. Although most people usually think that it can’t happen to them, heart attacks and all the diseases mentioned in fliers or those informative messages are not science fiction and they do not exactly pick randomly their victims. It is an obvious fact that most of those who suffer from heart diseases are in that condition as a result of their careless behavior. Except from the fact that you shouldn’t drink alcohol in considerable amounts or smoke constantly, I strongly advice you to eat healthy food. Try from time to time having an apple, eating some carrots or try anything else that has fewer calories and E numbers than the aliments you usually find in a regular supermarket. It is indicated that you also replace the meat you usually eat, also rich in fat and calories, with poultry. And while working on changing your daily alimentation, you should also replace your daily morning coffee with tea or low-fat milk.

Finally, for the purpose of having a healthy heart you should exercise daily at least 20-30 minutes. Try doing this every morning and you will soon see incredible results. If this seems hard, then just try walking to work, instead of getting in your car every day and driving back and forth to work.

As a conclusion, a healthier heart, as you may already know, brings plenty of benefits to your body and makes you stronger. You will definitely feel better and have more energy, but also a healthy heart gives you the right mindset to start a new day.
