Healthy eating habits and a balanced lifestyle can help you to prevent a lot of diseases  and you can control your weight . Despite the fact that nowadays life has a much more faster rhythm and we have less time for cooking and take care of our health , we should not forget that we are what we eat  and what we has influence on the quality of our lifestyle . These recipes respect some main principles : the meat or potatoes should not be fried , it is advisable to be boiled or grilled ; white meat such as fish and chicken is considered to contain less fat ; we should avoid creamy fat sauces and do not use dressings that we find on the market because most of them are rich in calories ; it is better to use lemon juice or olive oil . One of the major problems that our generations have to deal with is : obesity . It is said that lunch it is the most important meal of the day and because of this it is important to eat a healthy food so it is likely to know to cook some healthy lunch recipes . One recipe of this kind is Artichoke and Ripe Olive Tuna Salad . For this recipe , you need the following ingredients : 1 can chunk light tuna drained and flaked , 1 cup chopped canned artichoke hearts , ½ cup chopped olives , 1/3 cup reduced fat mayonnaise , 2 teaspoons lemon juice , 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano or ½ teaspoon dried oregano . It is simple to make : you just have to combine the tuna , artichokes , olives , mayonnaise , lemon juice and oregano . And you will eat 200 calories and only 8 grams of fat . Another example is Chicken and Fruit Salad .

For this you need the ingredients : ¼ cup reduced fat sour cream , 3 spoons fruit – flavored vinegar , 1 and ½ teaspoons poppy seeds , little salt , freshly ground pepper , 8 cups mixed salad greens , 2 cups sliced cooked chicken breast , 2 cups chopped melon , ¼ cup chopped walnuts toasted , ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese . First you mix sour cream , vinegar , sugar , poppy seeds , salt and pepper in a large bowl . Reserve ¼ of the dressing . Then add the mixed greens to a large bowl and toss them to coat . Divide it into 4 plates and on top add chicken , melon , walnuts and feta . Add on each top a little of the reserved dressing . This salad will provide you with 248 calories and 11 grams of fat .

So it is not so hard to find some healthy lunch recipes which are extremely tasty and also easy to prepare .
