The recipe for a healthy lifestyle should include a diet based on fruits, grains, vegetables and proteins, preferably of vegetable origin. A simple diet is insufficient. Your healthy diet should be completed by 30 minutes or an hour of exercises every day and at least 2 liters of liquid, preferably water.

Short-term benefits of a healthy diet are an increase in your energy levels, intellectual capacity and more confidence in yourself. On the long term a healthy routine will reduce the risk of developing a serious disease and your life quality will also improve. Another advantage would be improving your physical performances. You will even manage to spend less money on food. There are some tips you can follow easily so that you will be able to prepare good, tasty meals and at the same time learning new healthy meal recipes. For a healthy life you should firstly replace the foods that do not bring any benefits to you and your body.
Try eating more often carrots, salads, fresh or dried fruits, whole grains and protein bars. If you plan on losing weight and improving your diet overall you should reduce your portions of food and replace unhealthy ingredients with foods rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein and fat free). Cook once and eat 2 times. Food prepared on the run is generally poor for the body and you also ought to avoid sandwiches, hamburgers, french fries or food from fast foods. It is also recommended that you remove refined oil or other fats from your diet. Reduce the amount of salt in food (not completely remove) especially if you have problems with blood pressure.

Just to give an example of how a healthy meal recipe should look like, try a dinner for one person prepared from raw potato flakes or potato peel, chopped and mixed with a mashed banana. To this mixture add 1.2 apples, one tablespoon of oil, a tablespoon of bran, a few nuts or peanuts and one teaspoon of lemon juice. So that the mix will look even more attractive, you can decorate it with slices of banana or oranges. Any meal may be composed of seasonal fruit, fruit salad - with the condition that they must be well cooked - or with cream cheese. And the most important thing you should keep in mind: the best day for you to start a healthy diet is today.
