Healthy Muffin Recipes

Snacks are one important part of our eating habits and it has been proven that our majority intake of calories comes from the snacks that we have between the meals or when we do not find time to eat and we grab something to crunch . For instance , when you want something sweet it is better to try to make home made ice creams out of fruits and yoghurt ; it will be a sweet and healthy snack but also they will eat ice cream , which we all love .
When we are talking about cookies , it is better to make some home-made biscuits than buying . There are so many recipes for cookies and you can add chocolate , fruits , vanilla in them so that your kid will enjoy eating so many flavors . Another good example are muffins . There a lot of healthy muffin recipes that can be a quick breakfast or a snack .

One of the most beloved muffin recipe is Chocolate-Graham Muffins . For this you need the following ingredients :
1cup chocolate graham cracker crumbs , ¾ all purpose heat flour and also same quantity whole-wheat flour , some cocoa powder , 1and half teaspoons of baking powder a half teaspoon of baking soda , little salt , 2 eggs , ½ cup brown sugar , ¼ cup sugar , a cup buttermilk , canola oil , 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder , 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, some semisweet chocolate chips . Crush the graham crackers with a rolling pin . In a large bowl mix the all purpose heat flour , the whole-wheat flour , cocoa , baking powder , baking soda and salt . After add the graham cracker crumbs . Make in another bowl a mixture out of eggs , brown sugar and granulated sugar . Then add the buttermilk , the canola oil , the vanilla and mix it till you obtain a paste . Make a well in middle of the dry ingredients where you add the wet ingredients and stir with a spatula until it is combined . After you can add the chocolate chips . Meanwhile coat the muffin cups with a cooking spray , then you can spoon the batter into the cups . Put them into the oven and bake them for 15 to 25 minutes . In the end turn the muffins out onto a wire rack to cool . You can try the recipe by using other ingredients beside chocolate chips . You can also try with blueberries , raspberries or date-oat muffins .

Per serving , meaning per muffin , you will eat only 215 calories and 7 grams fat .So it is clear , that is a best choice for breakfast because it provides you with energy for all day long and if you limit to one muffin it is something to crunch between meals or when you just want to have something sweet to eat or as a dessert .
