If you do not usually eat fish or vegetables, for instance, you can include in your daily diet with other ingredients. You should know that it is highly recommended to eat fish at least twice a week.

Studies have revealed that a single meal a week including fish can reduce your risk of a heart attack or developing any heart conditions by up to 50%. In addition, fish can be prepared in many ways: cooked in the oven, in salads, fish paste, etc. And it's very tasty however you decide to prepare it! Apples are also a great idea and you can include them in many heart healthy recipes. Also, if you drink a glass of apple juice per day or if you eat two whole apples a day you will be way less exposed to a heart disease.

Apples can be eaten in fruit salads, pies, cakes or you can prepare a delicious juice using a blender and they will still improve significantly your health. In fact, one study found that nut consumption may even lower cholesterol by 12%.

Peanuts can successfully replace snacks between meals, you can crunch at work and you can even add them to salads, vegetables or fruit. Remember also to consume from time to time olive oil. Of all types of oil, the olive oil contains the largest amount – about 77%– of monounsaturated fats, which lowers LDL cholesterol without it affect the HDL. When preparing salads or when cooking foods that need oil, try always using olive oil.
