For a correct alimentation, it is said that we have to eat between the main meals, a few intermediary meals that we call snacks. The key to losing weight and maintaining your body healthy is frequently eating small meals. But we usually do not have the time to prepare a proper meal, so I think it is very important for you to learn how to prepare some quick healthy meals.



First of all, you must know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and not skipping it is essential for having the energy you need for the rest of the day. Although, snacks bring many benefits, it is still important to pay attention to what and how much you eat, so that you don’t constantly fill up on calories. Another great idea for a quick healthy meal would be consuming more fruit and vegetables. Just like the cereals, the vegetables and fruit contain fibers and numerous vitamins and minerals that complete your daily requirements for nutrients.

In addition, almost every fruit can be a viable alternative for your sweets cravings and so you will not be tempted anymore to eat chocolate, cakes or other types of cookies. Although natural juices made out of fruit are very healthy, these are tricky if you plan on losing weight. By squeezing the fruits you lose first of all the fibers that fill you up and make you feel energetic and well rested. You should replace juices with water and eat fruit in their natural fresh form.

Vegetables can also be very efficient and delicious quick healthy meals if eaten raw. By boiling or cooking them, you also lose numerous nutrients and fibers. A significant mistake of the modern type of diet is this type of eating aliments over cooked.  Eating mashed potatoes is not a good idea especially if you’re thinking about your body health. You can try instead seeds and nuts. A healthy skin, a glowing and resistant hair and a lasting memory are the results of eating this type of aliments. Try, for instance, peanuts, hazelnuts, sesame seeds, pistachio, sunflower seeds, almonds and the list can be continued. These are rich in beneficial fats that contribute to eliminating the unnecessary cholesterol which usually leads to cardiovascular diseases.

Yogurts, low fat milk, and low fat dairy are an important source of calcium, proteins and various nutrients. This is why you shouldn’t avoid them between meals, as long as you choose the low fat or free fat aliments. You can combine yogurt with fruit or cereals, and dairy with vegetables.

A well balanced diet and moderation are the secret to having a healthy lifestyle. There are many options of quick healthy meals that you might enjoy. After coming back from work, tired and exhausted you will probably not be in the mood for spending the rest of the evening in your kitchen preparing dinner, so remember that eating an orange or a grapefruit is anytime better than ordering fast food. Try feeding your body in a healthier way.
