What Does it Mean to Be Mentally Healthy

Being healthy means being healthy physically and mentally. Health is something that comes from the inside and can be seen, with the naked eye. It's much more easier to define mental illness that to define mentally healthy. What Does it Mean to be Mentally Healthy? Well, it means the ability to enjoy life. It's very important to enjoy your life, to be satisfied, to like what you do. Also being mentally healthy might also refer to the ability to pass over problems, to fall on your feet , after un unfortunate event. People that cope well with stress are mentally healthy. Those that act weird, enter in depression or have violent behaviors are not sane.

Being mentally healthy can be considered the ability to keep a balance in everything we do. For example keeping a balance between our socila life and the time we spend alone, is very important. People that go to the limits are not very healthy and they should get help, to restore the lost balance. Other area where balance is needed is the balance between work and play, sleep and wakefulness, rest and exercise, the time spent outdoors with the one spent indoors, etc.

People need to be flexible to accept other point of view, to understand that we are all different, and to be willing and pacient. Some have more temperamental attitude but if taken to extreme it can mean mental problems. For those that are not mentally sane, there are special centers and hospitals that treat mental illnesses. The most serious and hard disease is the one that is at the head. Any physical injury can be fix, but a mental problem can last for years.

A person that leads a normal life, has problems but is still happy, goes through many emotions, but still manages to not go crazy, is a person that is mentally ok. Also self actualization is another feature of a person that is normal. Self actualization means keeping up with the times. There are people that prefer to remain in their own world, and not let others in, not let nothing from the latest technology in. other things that contribute to a healthy body and soul are self esteem and sexuality. People that don't do well on these areas can have serious problems. People can become introverted, shy, scared or even violent when they are out of their environment.

Nowadays, everyone is a little bit instable, mentally speaking. All the problems, and people's way of being can change everyone. Being mentally healthy is the opposite of mentally ill. An illness at the head means, going crazy, acting weird, not concentrating, talking nonsense, loosing grip immediately and so on. It's easy to pass from one extreme to another, but we should pay attention at the way we react, thinking before acting can save us a lot of regrets and mistakes. You never know how you can act when you are desperate.

    Just what it says. Your physically healthy, your body is functioning on the outside for the most part you can say, your muscles are working properly. You can stay PHYSICALLY healthy by eating correctly and keeping exercise
